DishNetwork TV2 remote only working sometimes.?

My remote for my bedroom is only working sometimes to change my channels. The volume and power buttons work fine, it's changing the channel and communicating with the receiver that's not working. I have to have the remote out in the hallway for it to work. Which of course is when i cant see the guide. Anyone know how to fix this? I don't know what to think, should I confess or not?

Ok, well...it all started in class. I promised my best friend that I was going to confess to the guy I like at the end of the year and now that it is the end of the year, I couldn't say it (i am a scaredy cat). So my best friend persistently pesters me into telling him my feelings and I really didn't want so I said she could do it. As she happily walks towards him, I ran to the teacher, asked to go to the bathroom and ran as fast as my legs took me. About halfway down the hallway, I felt faint and anger towards myself because every time I like someone, I always avoid them. I know I shouldn't but I can't help it. Anyway, when I got back to class, 10 minutes later, one of my friends (let's call her FRIEND A) was talking to my crush, getting info for me and one of his friends (aka Boy B) yelled, "He likes a girl that isn't smart!". I hung out with the teacher for a bit, then walked back to my friends and caught up on the details I missed. FRIEND A stopped my best friend from telling my crush that I like him since he would wonder why I didn't say it to him instead of my friends. FRIEND A tells me that my crush likes girls that don't change (which might be me, i'm still really childish) and he also said I had a pretty face and that I was really innocent like an innocent angel (those were his exact words) and that he like my attitude (i'm really helpful and I can't say no to anyone). I really don't know what to think, what does all of this mean? We were in the same drama class and were in a couple of plays together, one was called the Kissing Booth play and he had to hold my hand and kneel as if he was proposing to me and that was when I started to like him. And then there was the play before that when we had to play husband and wife, it was so much fun and I started to develop feelings for him. On our last day of drama class, we had free time and danced for about an hour and my friends said he was staring at me the whole time. I always thought he did, but I was never sure. During my monologue, he was staring at me intensely (quoted by my friends) and whenever I aced my test, he would say, "Good job!" I love the way he talks, he's not really popular and is really similar to a nerd but I really like him because of his attitude, not the way he looks. So should I confess or not?

I don't know about the Volante, but my sister has one of the Volta vacuum cleaners and she likes it. It is not one of the bagless ones, but she now wishes she had gone for one of the bagless ones. Weight obsessed relatives, almost crazy?

Well, here's the thing. I have 1 aunt who has 1 husband and they've got 2 kids who are my cousins. The whole family is weight obsessed. What bothers me the most is that it's affecting their children the most. The kids are 11 and 9 years old. The whole family is fat, I'm not trying to sound rude, I love them with all my heart, but this is crazy. They've got scales all over the house, wii fit, this push up machine, a tread mile, a trampoline. Like yesterday it was my birthday, and the little 9 year old boy (my cousin) had a lot of cake, a lot of ice cream, then he was like "Mom, I've lost 0.3 kg/ half of a pound" then when I suggested we'd go out and play on the playground or something his big sister said "Yeahh, you need some exercise" and when we were climbing on these ropes he was like "Hurry up fatty" to his sister. Then when he got tired after about 1 hour his sister was like "see, all you do is sit down and eat, get up and keep walking" and his sister said to me "you're so skinny, how much do you weigh?" and then he asked the same question about 10 minutes later and I told him, and he said "Then I weigh less than you!" and I said "Yeah you do, but I am much taller" then he told me to go over to this thing that looks like a balance scale, but on the playground, and then of course I weighed more, then his sister came up and she was like "Yeah, we're fatter than you" This was not how I visualized my birthday, and I seriously feel sympathy for them, when I was their age I never thought about weight & stuff like that. I'm a teen Boy and at High school I don't wear any shoes, all i have on my feet are my dirty white socks. I started this at year 7 and its now year 11 and the socks have not been washed during them years. Ok, so ever since I can remember I have not had any care or sympathy for other people. It is like this thing in my mind that I just really do no care who I hurt and have absolutely no care for other peoples feelings or things like that. Even people close to me. In relationships, I am always cheating and at work I would tread all over someone if it got me to a better position. In a way it is quite nice, because it seems like some people worry so much about these things but I cannot understand it so it does make me feel lonely and isolated sometimes. Other symptoms are like world news such as deaths or tragedies have absolutely no affect on me, while other people are weeping I am just interested in seeing the action. It is like an amusing story for me. Other peoples pain does not bother me either i.e if someone close died or someone hurt themselves or got ill I would not care. I would act like I cared to fit in and not be noticed, but deep down I wouldn't feel anything. I described this in another forum and someone suggested I was a "sociopath" but I am not sure because I do not have evil thoughts or urges to actually hurt people myself. I just do not care about other people basically. What is wrong with me? Do you think a psychologist might be able to help?

My sons father is taking me to court for SOLE CUSTODY!!?

I am 22 years old (full time mother) to a 2 and half year old beautiful boy. I am on welfare and have a nice apartment (not housing) and I also get support from my mother she has been buying me groceries for 2 and half years since my sons father refuses to pay child support. My sons father is 23 years old and has A lot of money, he has a lawyer and I don't and HE FILED COURT ON ME! We both have shared custody since we are both on the birth certificate. I am a stay at home mom, I have been taking care of my child and so has he but he started paying me $198 a month for about 5 months because my social worker demanded it. in October my sons father put my son in daycare Without My Consent!!! and stopped paying me child support all of a sudden!! I went to my social worker and they gave me a paper to show me how much he owes me in child support including the times hes missed and including INTEREST! My sons father makes me have him on the weekends now but I personally think he is doing this because his girlfirend (That he has cheated on me with when I was 7 and half months pregnant) Keeps telling him to take me to court and get SOLE custody and the court papers say he wants me to have supervised visits as if I'm some crack head or something (I DO NOT DO DRUGS) I am a good mother and take care of my son better then my sons father (his sisters and his girlfirned take care of my son and pick him up from day care since my sons father works 9-5 Job) when my son is with me he gets my FULL attention I am a young single beautiful mother and live on my own and make sure there is breakfast lunch and dinner on the table for my son at all times, I bath him at all times he is with me and take him with me everywhere i go when he is with me. I have court on Thursday at 11AM (June 30th) he lied and said i have no food in my fridge, and says my house is always dirty (I had the police investigate my house and said they have never seen a place so clean and nice since i keep my place well kept and they seen i had food in the fridge!) He says my hallway stinks of marijuana (witch is true) but only because my neighbors are pot heads and they are getting evicted they are moving next month my landlord found out they are selling drugs in the building so she evicted them! CLEARY my sons father is doing everything he can to lie on me just to win, wont it show he is trying to take my child from me because he clearly does not want to pay child support and he says he is takin me to court because I have no MONEY!!! Obviously not I only get enough to pay my rent and my mother provides the groceries since he refusees to pay child support but instead Pays the daycare teacher 800 DOLLARS a month! to do my job !! The only thing I am bringing with me is my witness's and my mother (my second sons father should I say) and the paper stating how much CHILD SUPPORT he owes me. My sons father filed for court BEHIND MY BACK but he gave me the court papers LATE (he filed for court MAY 12 2011, AND GAVE ME THE COURT PAPERS ON MAY 31st!) and kept saying he is not going to take me to court if we have a decent custody agreement HENCE why I do not have a LAWYER!!! But I don't believe I need one I am a good mother and I will be honest with the job! Who will be in the court room with us will it just be me and my sons father? or are we allowed to bring our own people? My spanish teacher is hitting on me!?

And I think its kinda weird because this teacher is supposed to be gay. He stops me every time we see each other in the hallway and asks about my life, which doesn't bother me, but he can get kinda creepy at times. Like this one time he asked me what I was doing over summer break and I told him I was going to my family's beach house and he was like "oh, that's cool! You should send me some pics!" I'm hoping he meant pics of the ocean and lighthouses and stuff... Since I was standing with friends I just let it go, but it's kinda weird for him to ask that. I'm in the marching band and sometimes he will sit in his car and watch me the entire practice. Another time my spanish class went on a field trip to see a play and my bff and I had to sit across from him. When my bff fell asleep he started talking to me and after a while he told me he couldn't hear me so I should sit in his seat. i went and talked to him, and while we were talking he kept looking down at my skirt. He eventually caught on that I saw him looking and told me that my skirt was very beautiful and sexy. Then he started touching it and that got kinda awkward. The next year, he chose only my class to go on an overnight trip and he did a room check every night. But all the kids in the class and my friends I roomed with for the trip have told me that ours was the only room he went in. And he happened to come in while I was taking a shower, so he opened the bathroom door to ask if it was really me and to make sure I wasn't off in another room. In class he looks over all of the students shoulders at their work, but he always touches my shoulders, arms, and back when he looks at my work. Other teachers and students tell me he never stops talking about me. I guess he is just trying to be friendly and make a friend because all of the students think he's weird and won't talk to him. How should I get across to him that he needs to tone down the flirting but still sound nice? I don't want to come off as rude...

Having a bit of an identity crisis?

well, like last year i was depressed. then i went through a period of being incredibly happy to incredibly low. and now everything is perfect. i'm now confident. i've realised who my real friends are, even if i don't have many. i'm surrounded by things i love. the weather is nice, its summer (wooo!) but it's like i don't really who i really am yet, like i don't know who i stand for. nowadays, if anyone gives me **** im not scared to start on them. but now i'm finding it hard to get the balance right between being a good person and not causing trouble and standing up for my self/friends and what i believe in. i don't really know where the line is between making things better and making things worse, i becoming more in touch with my dark side and i fear i may be becoming a bad person. i just don't wanna be walked all over - again. they say you don't lose friends over the years, you just realise who your real ones are. but i've lost so many people i counted as friends in these passed few months through sticking up for myself and others that i'm starting to doubt that. i wondering whether i should have just left it and kept all these people as friends and forgave them. Carpet replacement with laminate flooring - Good idea?

In 2010 I purchased my first home. After living here for about a month, I discovered that the previous owners' dog(s) had urinated all over the upstairs carpet. I realized this after my cats started defecating in the hallway up there and I used a black light to show the spots (like 80% coverage in the hallway (!), about 40% coverage in the game room, less in the bedrooms). They did a great job covering it up because no one noticed it except my cats! I had already decided to replace the carpet in the game room with wood laminate because I am putting a pool table in there. Due to the dog urine problem, I decided to also put the wood laminate in the hallway. I figured this would be better than carpet in the long run, especially since I have cats. Now I am wondering 1) if this was a smart thing to do with respect to resale and 2) whether this would be considered an improvement in my home value since the damaged carpet was replaced. I would like to hear some opinions. Note: I will be replacing the bedroom carpet with new carpet, but this hasn't happened yet. Thanks for your help!

Keeping a house clean?

Unless you are willing to clean it all the time, or get your roomies to do their part, you will always have roaches and gnats and probably rats. Personally, I'd start looking for another place. With all that would need to be done in such a nasty place you won't have much time for yourself, if you wanted to keep it clean. I couldn't live in a place with dog feces and urine all over the place, filth in every room and insect infestations. Might as well live in a barn. Just move. It will save you time in the long run.

To start losing fat, your body needs to work out at a pretty high intensity for more than 20 minutes. Duration is important, but without the intensity, duration is almost useless. Weight obsessed relatives, almost crazy?

Well, here's the thing. I have 1 aunt who has 1 husband and they've got 2 kids who are my cousins. The whole family is weight obsessed. What bothers me the most is that it's affecting their children the most. The kids are 11 and 9 years old. The whole family is fat, I'm not trying to sound rude, I love them with all my heart, but this is crazy. They've got scales all over the house, wii fit, this push up machine, a tread mile, a trampoline. Like yesterday it was my birthday, and the little 9 year old boy (my cousin) had a lot of cake, a lot of ice cream, then he was like "Mom, I've lost 0.3 kg/ half of a pound" then when I suggested we'd go out and play on the playground or something his big sister said to him "Yeahh, you need some exercise" and when we were climbing on these ropes he was like "Hurry up fatty" to his sister. Then when he got tired after about 1 hour his sister was like "see, all you do is sit down and eat, get up and keep walking" and his sister said to me "you're so skinny, how much do you weigh?" and then he asked the same question about 10 minutes later and I told him, and he said "Then I weigh less than you!" and I said "Yeah you do, but I am much taller" then he told me to go over to this thing that looks like a balance scale, but on the playground, and then of course I weighed more, then his sister sat on his side and she was like "Yeah, we're fatter than you" This was not how I visualized my birthday, and I seriously feel sympathy for them, when I was their age I never thought about weight & stuff like that. What can I do to help them?

Okay so when I was in fifth grade my best friend moved to California. the summer after 7th grade I went to California to go visit her. The summer before our freshman year (last summer) she moved back. I was excited because we hadn't talked very much,we texted every once in a while. But when I came back from being at my dads for the summer she was there already and she came over quite a few times before school started. When school did start we met up at lunch everyday and even joined Volleyball. After about the first 6 weeks of school she was hanging out with a lot more people and had a lot of friends. It was cool she was making a lot of friends, plus she's very social. But then after a while we weren't talking as much and she never came over anymore. And I would even buy her lunch at school every day because she didn't have money to every day. And it's not like I had a lot of money either. We even had her birthdasy party at our house because her and her family asked and we were close so we said yes, that was in september. Point is we don't hang out anymore and whenI text her she never responds and I even passed by her in the hallways a couple times said hi and she didn't say anything back to me. Another one of my friends that we've known since elementary said she did the same thing to her and she is also very social. What kind of saw to use for install baseboards and tmoldings?

I had to take out all my floors, cut out some walls, and take out baseboards due to water damage. Now I've run out of money and favors, so although all the major work is done, the little finishing touches like the baseboards and the tmoldings that transition from the tile to the pergo floor still need to be done. I was wondering how hard this would be to do myself? I am a 25yo woman and I'm pretty handy, but I have no idea what kind of saw I would use to cut the baseboards and the tmoldings? Would I need a power saw or could I use something less expensive and scary? It's only one tmolding and then a hallway and bathroom of baseboards.

Mrs. Duck hatched 3 eggs (5 left) in my waterfall, now swim every day with me. When can they fly to leave?

I was concerned how the ducklings would get out of the pool safely once they went in. So I rigged up a flotation with a blanket that hangs over the water, the mattress and then they climb out of the pool that way. Mom has 5 more eggs in nest, but she's now sitting with them at night near the blanket and her 3 under her, while the eggs sit near by. Will they hatch? They are so super cute and boldly swim all around me when I'm in the pool, mom watches intently but she is now sometimes out of the water, while the babies are swimming around me. They are 3 days old and each day get bolder to get my attention or swim right at me while I tread water, so cute. So how do they safely leave? At what age can they fly?

Double pole circuit breaker and my wiring have me worried.?

I had a room in my house with an outlet on a switch. I hate those so I added a ceiling fan. The switch was originally an "end Line" switch. I rewired the outlet and the switch to use a "through" switch. The part I don't understand is the circuit breaker. It is a double pole breaker 110v. It uses 2 hot wires with a common neutral. One switch controls the light in the room I'm working on, the other controls the hallway. There is some sort of transformer on the side of the panel that HUMS. WHen I turned off the breaker to the room I'm working on, the HUM stops. I noticed that the Ceiling fan motor HUMS louder than I thought it would. Here are my questions. Why the double pole breaker? Making a minor adjustment on vehicle alignment?

Both front tires on my 2005 Sienna are wearing on the outer edge of the tread (like the tires are tilted outward on the top). I can manage my way around basic auto repairs and was wondering if there was an adjustment I could try. It looks like the same amount of wear on both tires. Long ago in my high school auto we were showed how you can adjust the tie rods, etc., the caveat being to mark where you started. I don't see where I could make an adjustment on this vehicle to bring the tires more vertical. does anyone know? The vehicle runs well, no noticeable pulling or vibration, just extra wear on the outer edges.

I had a dream that predicted something terrible to happen to the world?

I never dream in detail, but this dream I was was a huge exception. I feel as if it either happened or I was predicting something to happen. I sort of have a Sixth sense sometimes. I remember everything. There was a small airport that was the victim of a terriorost attack and it was a complete bloodbath. I was working there as a relief worker, helping victems with onsite first aid and trying to rescue unharmed children and adults. I remember every aspect about the airport, all the hallways, doors, labels, everything. I never dream in detail. The two people I was working with managed to get a car to leave the building, as it became too dangerous, and I went back inside to get a little girl I had passed before. Her father was injured, and she was sistting next to his almost dead body. I picked her up and carried her out to the car where we drove away. You cant get stamina in one day. You have to maintain it. Here you go. For example you run for a half km at your first day. then next day make it 1km if you find half km easy to complete. then like this go on and increase your distance day by day. Same is the thing that you have to follow for everything else like push ups chin ups, day 1st do 10 then next day 15 and so on. and rest you would have understand. you will maintain stamina within 2 weeks for sure. thanks

I've just bought a diary because I have an insane temper that is really short especially when I get really stressed with problems. My Best friends Husband is wrecking our relationship!?

I have been friends with my best friend (we are both female) for 15 years. We are very close and have never really fought. The only problem in our relationship is she married a jealous manipulator who hates me. they have been dating/married for the past 9 years. Since she meet him our friendship has been torn apart several times. Not because of fighting just because he sabotages everything. Alright, so my class is going to a day camp tomorrow as an end-of-the-year kind of thing. No homework, no classes, no education! So, I originally thought it was going to be fun. Then, today I found out that in order to be able to swim in the deep end, there's going to be a test that is a race and being able to tread water for 30 seconds. I can swim, I'm just not...thereee....you know what I mean? So, all my friends are going to be able to swim in the deep end and I'm going to be the only one in the shallow end! I mean, I haven't taken the test (it's tomorrow, DUH! lol:P), but I know that I'm not going to pass. Of course, maybe I could pass if I had suggestions on how to swin better! How to hide in Amnesia: Dark Descent?

I always thought that to avoid monsters, you had to be in a closet or some box-castle that you had time to build around yourself while a particularly slow one was looking for you (If you've actually done that, high five). But I read that some people just turn off their lantern and crouch if they're in a dark hallway. Does that really work? It seems like you would be seen. Also, does looking at the monsters only deplete your sanity or does it also make them see you somehow?

Is there a presence in my house?

In Oct 2010 my husbands terminally ill uncle came to live with us. He was an odd character, spoke to himself... carried conversations with people we couldn't see (overheard him arguing, talking etc.) and we didn't really give much into it but my children started seeing shadows, hearing footsteps, and sometimes hearing things. After developing a pneumonia, he was hospitalized and passed away in April. Since then my children don't feel at ease, and I have a very difficult time sleeping. I'm not afraid by any means, but sometimes feel as if I'm being watched while in bed (only). My children always saw/heard things in the hallway which leads into my room... ironically, I do too. What is happening and why did it start even before he died? Mind you that he did not die in our home.

WHY can't I learn swimming?

i don't want to be called disgusting so dont. about a month ago on may 4th 2011 i had drunk 3 pepsi's and some beer. when i got to my job they had a lockdown situation for about 4 hours and i needed to pee but the cops wouldnt let me out in the hallway so i grabbed the pepsi bottle and urinated inside of it. of course i still had to pee after that but it was a relief to let some of it out after 4 hours. so anyways when i peed it smelled normal and i sealed the bottle and put it in my drawer. Today about 1 month after in peed in the bottle i remembered it, so my co-worker decided it would be funny to draw a penis on my car in "chalk paint" so about an hour ago at 10 p.m when my shift was over i grabbed the bottle and unleashed hell onto his grey toyota Prius. i poured it all over his door handle and the roof of his car which scurried down his windshield I expected it to be normal piss but i realized it had turned cloudy and after sitting in a 80 degree room for a month it had little clear chunks and debris inside and it looked sticky on his car. and it had a very weird and foul smell ,it smelled nothing like pee. it kinda smelled like a mixture of expired butter and ammonia with a hint of fish stew. anyways i got the hell out of there but can someone explain to me why pee changed smell in a month. what does urine contain?

Practice. Just keep egg beating in the water, get used to the water, and build up your leg strength. I used to play water polo and it just took a lot of practice and motivation. Don't expect to tread that long easily within a few days, it takes a lot of time to get water oriented. A good workout for your legs are wall sits or lunges, those really helped me.

What kind of saw to use for install baseboards and tmoldings?

I had to take out all my floors, cut out some walls, and take out baseboards due to water damage. Now I've run out of money and favors, so although all the major work is done, the little finishing touches like the baseboards and the tmoldings that transition from the tile to the pergo floor still need to be done. I was wondering how hard this would be to do myself? I am a 25yo woman and I'm pretty handy, but I have no idea what kind of saw I would use to cut the baseboards and the tmoldings? Would I need a power saw or could I use something less expensive and scary? It's only one tmolding and then a hallway and bathroom of baseboards.

What can I do to make my car faster?

I have a 72 chevelle with a 383 stroker, mild cam, 3.08 gears, beefed up transmission, edelbrock carb, high rise manifold, wide nitto extreme preformance tires (couldn't give you the specs). It just had new vaulve covers put on it. I think they did something to the vaulves also. My dad is in the car business and I wasn't sure what all has been done to it. It's already got a nice flowmaster set up. Probably one of the best cars I have ever heard. No joke. I don't want to do any forced induction but I would like my car to run 13's or 12's. I also want something that when I hit the gas hard my tires screetch and leave tread marks. So like that fast haha. Thanks!

I have a small dog who sleeps on my bed. This night at 3pm i was woken by my dog barking loudly staring at the doorway. I assumed her barking because she could hear my daughter walking up the hallway to come and sleep with us. So i turned my head to look at the doorway expecting to see my sleepy daughter only to my shock saw very clearly a very tall white ghost of a very old lady, the image was looking at the dog barking madly and seemed to be moving its head around in a very confused manner,i could also feel the energy and it was quite bright also. There was no anger, or ill will felt from the ghost but i was petrified just the same. In absolute fear and shock i turned my head to face the other way and could see it in the mirror, with the dog still barking i watched in a fear i have never experienced before, thinking how do i get it to go away, i then shook my doona and yelled out to my daughter, and it faded away. I lay there a while till i had the courage to turn on lights and check on my daughter who was sound asleep. i have lived in this unit 5 years and have never had anything like this happen before, i am now very fearful and am wondering why it came to me. My intuition tells me it was lost or confused and was not there for me! It did not feel familiar, nor did it feel to have any message or omen. So what would have made it visible to me and my dog? I am filled with questions that cannot be answered and am totally freaked out! Would appreciate any views you may have.. Regards Jo C....
